I just want to say good morning everyone, welcome to a brand new day. It is time to seize the day, so let us face it with a smile. I went for a swim for an hour and read by the ocean before I decided I should eat and get familiar with the resort. My bungalow is the farthest from the main entrance, which puts me feet from the ocean!

This is the sign at my resort. It is in a bad place for photos  because the shade is limited, so either first thing in the morning or after 7pm.I treated myself to an all adults side of the resort and because when I booked I also ended up with privilege. There are 7 main restaurants and only 3 require a reservations. Each restaurant has 1 day when it doesn’t run, except the buffet. This is to give staff some time off and do a though cleaning of the restaurant. The Buffet restaurant is closed from 11-12:30, and 3:30 -6:30pm. This is when it gets cleaned. You ask me how I know, I asked! On the adults only we have 3 extra restaurants and you can’t forget the ocean burger. Once I have gotten to all the restaurants I will do a separate post, in case you ever want to come here.

It is a bright beautiful Sunday and I am slathered in SPF 60 but I know I really only have 30 minutes if I am lucky. They have a gym and do yoga classes Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am. It takes me 20 minutes from my bungalow to the main entrance, so the gym did not call me today. There is a shop, boy is it expensive! Everything is in USD. Apparently, they cater to the USA, which is odd since from what I could gather most of the people at this resort seem to be European or South American. So far on my saunter I have heard, Spanish, Dutch, Romanian, French, and either Russian or Polish. I found it! Mike’s coffee shop. It is hilarious because it is like a Starbucks, just with MUCH better coffee. I will be around in the afternoon for one of the strawberry lemonades. There is a bowling alley, a movie theater, and a sports bar. This is all on the main lane with the restaurants. This resort is known for its tennis courts.

Now I am going to the pool for stretching and aquafit with the “blue team”. They don’t do Bachata until 4:30 every day. So the afternoon means spending time in my “egg” reading. This keeps me in the shade during the heat of the day!

Since I only had a snack for lunch- I wasn’t that hungry, I decided to try the buffet for dinner to see what they were having as their specialty-Mexican! it overwhelms me seeing so much food. Although, I eat like a normal human, there were people with piles and yes piles of food on their plate. The couple next to me, made me wonder if they could really eat everything. I eat slow-so I am told, and it surprised me how much food they had put back by the time I was finished. It is not a judgement just an understanding  if I ate that much food I would be ill for my vacation.

Instead of going to the movie on my side, I walked along the beach before heading to my room. I didn’t meet anyone, but I didn’t make an effort. I am a little burnt out after being so sick for 3 weeks, I feel I am still in healing mode.
